Description:

The Zetsaw V Handy200 Board is a folding Anahiki-nokogiri Japanese Saw. Traditionally, Anahiki-nokogiri were crosscut saws, used for cutting logs, beams and other rough dimensioning work. Today, anahiki-nokogiri are the most popular carpentry saw amongst Japanese woodworkers, as it's ideal for cutting across various types of solid wood.

The Kataba blade of the Zetsaw V Handy200 Board Folding Japanese Saw has a specifically designed, symetrical tooth pattern for the cutting of drywall and plasterboard sheets. The blade has a Saw Coat coating to reduce resistance and clogging of the teeth, whilst aiding smoother cuts. It also has an effective cutting length of 190mm.

This saw is marketed directly at construction workers, the construction industry and "on the go" plasterers and tradespeople. The folding, aluminium handle has an elastomer skin for comfort and grip, but also has a bi-angle blade position. With a simple push of the blade release button, the blade angle can be increased for ease of sawing in those hard to reach situations. Which also reduces hand and arm fatigue, whilst in use.

Benefits & Features:

Kataba Blade: The Saw Coat coating on this blade provides reduced cutting resistance and clogging of the teeth, and aids a smoother cutting action.

Symetrical Cut Teeth: The specially ground tooth pattern allows for cuts on both the push and pull strokes.

Pocket Cutting: The blade allows for pocket-cutting holes in the middle of drywall and plasterboard sheets.

Blade Replacement System: Reduces the need to get teeth sharpened and re-set, when in the middle of a project. Simply replace the blade and continue on with what you were doing. This system also means you will not have to buy a complete new saw, should the blade break. Replacement blades for this saw can be purchased here.

Hook Fixing: For easy and speedy blade replacement. No need to have multiple saws, just swap the blade out for different tasks, with compatible blades. Great for smaller workshops with limited storage space. Click here to download the PDF guide on replacing the blades on saws with hook fixing blades.

Aluminium Handle: An elastomer-skinned, aluminium handle for a comfortable, slip-resistant grip. Replacement Pin Fit kits for the handle can be purchased here.

Bi-Angle Position: For ease of cutting in difficult situations and reduction of arm and hand fatigue.

Impulse Hardening Technology: Treating the teeth in this way helps keep them sharp for much longer than conventional methods. Whilst the core of the blade remains tough, yet flexible, to reduce bending and buckling during use.

Blade Length: 190mm of effective cutting, with an overall blade length of 223mm.

Blade Thickness: 0.7mm.

Blade Pitch: 1.40mm [18TPI]

Kerf: 1.05mm. Cuts with the Zetsaw V Handy200 Board Folding Japanese Saw produce a cleanly severed edge, which reduced the need of the board edge to be deburred or chamfered.
