Description:
The Zetsaw Heavy Duty H-333 is an Anahiki-nokogiri Japanese Saw. Traditionally, Anahiki-nokogiri were crosscut saws, used for cutting logs, beams and other rough dimensioning work. Today, anahiki-nokogiri are the most popular carpentry saw amongst Japanese woodworkers, as it's ideal for cutting across various types of solid wood.
The Kataba blade of the Zetsaw Heavy Duty H-333 Japanese Saw has a Universal tooth configuration, with an extremely low TPI count. This saw is aimed squarely at the construction industry, as it is able to make quick and aggressive rip, cross and slant (mitre) cuts. The teeth are impulse hardened for greater blade longevity, and has an effective cutting length of 333mm.
Benefits & Features:
Kataba Blade: The blade is sturdy and tough, making it able to tackle any aggressive cutting tasks that may be required of it.
Universal Cut Teeth: The universal tooth pattern means this saw can handle any sawing situation.
Pull Saw: Cutting on the pull stroke, rather than the push stroke, reduces the risk of blade flex whilst cutting.
Blade Replacement System: Reduces the need to get teeth sharpened and re-set, when in the middle of a project. Simply replace the blade and continue on with what you were doing. This system also means you will not have to buy a complete new saw, should the blade break. Replacement blades for this saw can be purchased here.
Hook Fixing: For easy and speedy blade replacement. No need to have multiple saws, just swap the blade out for different tasks, with compatible blades. Great for smaller workshops with limited storage space. Click here to download the PDF guide on replacing the blades on saws with hook fixing blades.
Aluminium Handle: An elastomer-skinned, lightweight, aluminium handle for a comfortable, slip-resistant grip.
Impulse Hardening Technology: Treating the teeth in this way helps keep them sharp for much longer than conventional methods. Whilst the core of the blade remains tough, yet flexible, to reduce bending and buckling during use.
Blade Length: 333mm of effective cutting, with an overall blade length of 379mm.
Blade Thickness: 0.9mm.
Blade Pitch: 2.8mm [9TPI]
Kerf: 1.30mm. Cuts with the Zetsaw Heavy Duty H-333 Japanese Saw produce less sawdust and reduce wood waste, than conventional Western saws.
