Description:

Zetsaw Cross Convex H-300 Replacement Blades are interchangeable with the blades of the Zetsaw Universal H-300 Japanese Saw. Traditionally, Anahiki-nokogiri were crosscut saws, used for cutting logs, beams and other rough dimensioning work. Today, anahiki-nokogiri are the most popular carpentry saw amongst Japanese woodworkers, as it's ideal for cutting across various types of solid wood.

This Kataba blade has teeth that are impulse hardened for greater blade longevity and has an effictive cutting length of slightly over 300mm, due to the convex cutting edge.

Having a convex cutting edge, reduces friction whilst making cuts, as fewer teeth are in contact with the wood at any given moment. This curved edge (along with the sawing motion) also aids with sawdust removal from the cut. A convex blade is ideal for making rebate (rabbet) cuts, through dados and sliding dovetail cuts across the wood grain.

Benefits & Features:

Kataba Blade: This blade is ideal for cross cutting swiftly and precisely, even on thick beams and other wood stock.

Cross Cut Teeth: Dedicated cross cut teeth specifically designed for smooth cuts across the grain of solid wood.

Convex Cutting Edge: Reduces friction whilst cutting and aids with the removal of sawdust from the cut. Ideal for rebate (rabbet), through dado and sliding dovetail cuts.

Pull Saw: Cutting on the pull stroke, rather than the push stroke, reduces the risk of blade flex whilst cutting.

Blade Replacement System: Reduces the need to get teeth sharpened and re-set, when in the middle of a project. Simply replace the blade and continue on with what you were doing. This system also means you will not have to buy a complete new saw, should the blade break.

Hook Fixing: For easy and speedy blade replacement. No need to have multiple saws, just swap the blade out for different tasks, with compatible blades. Great for smaller workshops with limited storage space. Click here to download the PDF guide on replacing the blades on saws with hook fixing blades.

Impulse Hardening Technology: Treating the teeth in this way helps keep them sharp for much longer than conventional methods. Whilst the core of the blade remains tough, yet flexible, to reduce bending and buckling during use.

Blade Length: Just over 265mm of effective cutting, with an overall blade length of 299mm.

Blade Thickness: 0.7mm.

Blade Pitch: 2.15mm [12 TPI].

Kerf: 1.00mm. Cuts with Zetsaw Cross Convex H-300 Replacement Blades produce less sawdust and reduce wood waste, than conventional Western saws.
