Okada Hardware Mfg. Co. Ltd (the company that manufactures the Zetsaw brand) were the original pioneers of the replaceable blade system on handsaws. A system that has since set the standard for the entire handsaw industry, worldwide.

They were also the first company to introduce Impulse Hardening Technology to the Japanese saw industry. This innovation has greatly improved blade toughness, providing a Vickers Hardness value of 850-950HV [66-68HRC], across their entire range.
